On the surface, which, unfortunately, is as deep as low information dimwits dare to swim, this sounds extremely racist. Which is why I’m so surprised to see some of my more intelligent friends, but not so much with high ranking political figures, making this into something it’s not. Continue Reading →
In my lifetime, I have seen the advent of cable TV turn the media into MASS MEDIA, and then the internet create SOCIAL MEDIA. We went from three TV networks to 24 hour news channels. I’ve seen dead horses beat to death, then beaten harder, and then beat some more.
I’ve seen the battles between the branches of gov’t. A great rivalry was born with Ronald Reagan and Tip O’Neal. But it was a friendly rivalry, one that was vicious and cruel during the day, with drinks and social hour when the day was done. Continue Reading →
Since we are talking monitoring police officers and holding them accountable for their actions, shouldn’t we do the same thing with those who make our laws and oversee our police officers? I’m talking about our political leaders who have even more power at their disposal and have the potential to inflict significant and irreparable damage on our Republic when they are dishonest, corrupt, and profligate.
Yes, even more than police officers, our political leaders have the potential to harm the American people when they are not properly supervised, held accountable, and when their actions are concealed from our view. Continue Reading →
Marriage – SCOTUS rules and the people rejoice. Well, only if they have no clue what was done. Or not done. Gay people across the nation are celebrating. Hell, even I have a hard time showing any sign of negativity. It seems like a big win for the LGBTeieio community. But is it? Go to social media and get a barrage of “and my marriage is still not affected” comments. But is it? I’m betting there are a lot of naysayers out there (myself included) who are being quiet today. Two of my daughters are a huge supporter of gay marriage. Anything I say or do today would generally rain on their parade. In my case, silence is not acceptance. My Continue Reading →
Liberalism Kills – The culture of liberalism is a death cult. It’s a death cult without accountability and actually blames others for its deadly policies. 1- Guns: It’s truly amazing how duplicitous and hypocritical liberal thinking is regarding guns. Obama and celebrity liberals rail against guns as the great evil of our society. Ironically, they spew their invective against guns from behind the safety and security of, well, guns. Obama has a team of Secret Service agents who use guns to protect him. Many liberal celebrities reap the benefits of the same gun protection. Why? Because the only thing that can stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. The hypocrisy and cognitive dissonance of Continue Reading →
WAR – Anthony Kennedy has gone and done it. Having a romanticized, fictionalized view of the role and power of the Supreme Court, the newest icon of gay rights has put the final nail in the coffin of traditional beliefs and institutions. The storm clouds of war against religion, traditional Christian religion, that have been gathering over the past several years are finally upon us and will shortly release their vicious, slashing torrents. Chief Justice Roberts, in a lucid moment (rare for him of late), gave a preview in his dissent – (Page 67 for those following along) “The majority graciously suggests that religious believers may continue to ‘advocate’ and ‘teach’ their views of marriage. The First Amendment guarantees, however, the freedom to ‘exercise’ Continue Reading →
Guns – I sometimes long for the days of the old West. I like to watch the old westerns with my dad. His motto, whenever I was (am) whiny, is, “You gotta be tough to live in John Wayne country”. My dad is a John Wayne cowboy through and through. In the old western movies, EVERYBODY is carrying a sidearm, except the little whiny dude wearing glasses that’s always complaining to the sheriff about something. Some carry rifles. Nobody has a cow. Well, the cows have cows, but that’s sorta the point of cows. Today, we see a gun and we FREAK OUT! Sometimes, for good reason but mostly, the freaking out is done by some liberal, gun hating idiot who is Continue Reading →
ISIS Strategy – At the G7 Summit in Germany on June 9, President Obama stated he does not yet have a “complete strategy” to defeat ISIS. President Obama then blamed the Pentagon and stated that military leaders haven’t given him a strategy. U.S. military leaders lambasted Obama for his lie. In January of 2014, President Obama referred to ISIS as “jayvee,” meaning, “junior varsity”. President Obama was elected twice by the American people to protect the nation from the largest and most deadly terrorist organization in modern history, among other things. Elections indeed have consequences. We are dealing with the consequences of electing Obama. Video: Obama blames Pentagon for Lack of Strategy Watch the latest video at video.foxnews.com ISIS (“Islamic Continue Reading →
Drought or Water Shortage On June 1, 2015, Governor Jerry Brown (D) announced mandatory water restrictions for all California residents. Brown, his liberal political cohorts, and the media are calling California’s water crisis a “drought.” However, a drought caused by nature. What is it called when liberal politicians owned by radical environmental groups don’t build sufficient water infrastructure to keep up with population growth? Answer: A “water shortage.” In a January press conference Brown joked: “Governors can’t make it rain”. On July 23, 2007, Brown said “right now, the water system is extremely vulnerable. For one thing, we haven’t built anything, like I said, in 30 years.” Good observation, Sherlock. Sarcasm aside, politicians can and should do the job they were elected Continue Reading →
Matt Walsh Matt Walsh I recently read an article written by Luke Simmons titled, “Why Matt Walsh’s Blog is Bad for the Soul“. Mr. Simmons criticizes Walsh for a few reasons. His first point is “Walsh’s writing lacks the fruit of the Spirit, especially love.” Mr. Simmons uses these three scriptures to make his point: And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. (1 Corinthians 13:2 ESV) A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will Continue Reading →
